We are excited about bringing this opportunity back to the Sioux County Fair!
If you are interested in competing in the event click on the buttons below for more information. There is a $20 entry fee. Fee will be returned the day of the contest. If you do not particiate your entry fee becomes a donation. Each team is in charge of their own booth, table will be provided for final judging display. We will have a panel of judges to determine the winners. Set up can be at anytime. Please submit your entry by June 30 to reserve your spot!
Farm Bureau’s cookout contest is open to any Iowa resident age 13 years or older.
A Cookout Champion will be named and awards will be given. $300 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place. The Cookout Grand Champion, will have the chance to compete in the state finals at the Iowa State Fair.
The county contest will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 3pm on the Sioux County Ag Expo grounds. Contestants can begin cooking at any time, but all food must be cooked on the grounds to qualify. Judging will be held at 3 pm.
